KAT SCHUETZ
With a background in Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech, I spent years in an industry governed by logic and binary precision. But after five years in tech, I realized only half of my brain was being fed. I founded Kat’s Design to bridge the gap between my analytical roots and my creative drive.
My debut collection is an exploration of embracing fallibility. In stained glass and blockprinting, a "mistake" isn't a bug—it’s a detail with a story. These mediums require a dialogue with imperfection; you must work with the way the glass fractures or the ink transfers, rather than against it. This work mirrors my own journey: moving away from the paralyzing fear of the "wrong" choice and toward the quiet beauty of a life—and a composition—formed by every unexpected turn.
